About Vardenafil

How to buy vardenafil

Can I buy vardenafil online?

Vardenafil is a prescription-only medication, which means it can only be legally prescribed and sold online by services such as Superdrug Online Doctor.

If you are going to buy vardenafil online, you should make sure that the seller is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

If you’re not sure if a company is registered with either the CQC, then they may be operating illegally, selling fake medicines, or prescribing incorrectly.

Important: When you order a generic (non-branded) medication, it may arrive in different packaging or under a different name to what’s pictured or what you expect. This is because we order from a variety of different suppliers to make sure you always have your medication available when you need it. The medication you receive will contain the same active ingredients and work in exactly the same way.

How vardenafil works

Vardenafil is:

  • a treatment for erectile dysfunction
  • the generic version of Levitra, and works in the same way
  • effective for around 70% of men

How does vardenafil work?

Vardenafil relaxes the blood vessels and muscles around your penis to increase blood flow. This increase in blood flow helps you to get and keep an erection as long as you’re sexually aroused.

How long does vardenafil last?

The effects of vardenafil usually last up to 4 hours but some men may experience the effects for up to 6. This is like other types of erectile dysfunction treatments like Viagra. Vardenafil also takes about 30 to 60 mins to start working.

How to take vardenafil

You should take vardenafil exactly how your doctor has told you to.

  • Take vardenafil around an hour before you intend to have sex
  • Swallow one tablet whole with a glass of water
  • Avoid eating heavy meals or drinking alcohol before taking it, as doing this can reduce its effectiveness and make it take longer to work
  • You should only take one tablet in a 24-hour period, taking more can cause serious side effects.
  • Do not take vardenafil with any other erectile dysfunction medication.

Vardenafil safety information

Vardenafil is available in a few different doses – 5mg, 10mg and 20mg. You should never increase your dose without a doctor’s advice. If you feel the effects of vardenafil are too strong or too weak for you, consult your doctor for advice.

Vardenafil 5mg

The 5mg doses of vardenafil are the lowest available and are usually prescribed to men who have experienced side effects on the higher doses.

These dosages of vardenafil are also suitable for men who are taking other medications or have health problems which make taking the higher doses unsafe. The lower doses also reduce the risk of drug interactions and side effects.

Vardenafil 10mg

The 10mg dose of vardenafil is usually what you will be prescribed if you are taking it for the first time. If you have a liver issue, you may be prescribed an even lower dose to begin with.

If you take 10mg and feel you need a higher or lower dose, your doctor will be able to discuss this with you.

Vardenafil 20mg

The maximum dose of vardenafil available is 20mg. This dose is normally given to you if you’ve tried 10mg, it didn’t work, and you didn’t experience any side effects.

If you take over 20mg of vardenafil then you are at risk of side effects and complications. If you try 20mg and find it doesn’t work, there are other ED treatments you can try.

Vardenafil vs sildenafil

Vardenafil and sildenafil are very similar medications. They both start working in the same amount of time and last for the same duration. They also both come in 3 doses, standard, low, and high doses. Even though the doses are higher for sildenafil, it doesn’t mean the medication is stronger.

Both medications are effective and safe if approved by a doctor. If you want to buy Sildenafil medication over-the-counter from a pharmacy, you can buy Viagra Connect which contains sildenafil. You can’t buy any version of vardenafil over the counter. Other than this, we don’t recommend one over the other.
