How we work?

When you come to your appointment, bring a rough itinerary for your trip with you. One of our nurses will ask you about your medical history, so if you are able to find out in advance which vaccinations you have had already that makes the process much easier.

When you arrive for your appointment, there will be a short consultation to work out your immunisation requirements and to check that the travel vaccinations that you need are going to be compatible with any health issues that you might have. Our nurses will also let you know if there are other travel health risks that you might need to think about, such as malaria prevention for example. Once the consultation is complete, assuming there are no problems, your nurse will also give you your travel vaccinations.

Like all the Superdrug Travel Clinics, Travel Clinic Edinburgh is a registered Yellow Fever centre. In addition to this, we stock all travel vaccines, even the unusual ones (like the vaccine for Japanese Encephalitis, for example). We can also prescribe malaria tablets.
