If you’re going on holiday, you may well need some travel vaccinations. At the Superdrug Travel Clinic Cardiff we offer a full travel health service to meet all your travel health needs.

Our nurses will take your details down during a short consultation, advise you on your immunisation requirements and give you your injections. They’ll also talk you through any other travel health risks that you need to watch out for on your trip. So if, for example, you will be visiting a malarial area, our nurses will talk you through the appropriate preventative medicines that are available and arrange for you to be given the one that suits you best.

The Travel Clinic Cardiff is based in Queens West, in the city centre.

How we work?

To use our service, start by booking an appointment. If you can come prepared with a rough itinerary for your trip and, if you know it, a list of the vaccinations that you have had already with your GP or elsewhere, that's helpful.

When you arrive for your appointment, we’ll offer you a short consultation to work out your immunisation requirements and check that the travel vaccinations that you need are going to be compatible with any health issues that you might already have. During this consultation, our nurses will also let you know if there are any other travel health risks that you might need to think about, such as malaria prevention for example. Once the consultation is complete, as long as everything is in order, your nurse will also give you your travel vaccinations.

Like all the Superdrug Travel Clinics, Travel Clinic Cardiff is a registered Yellow Fever centre. In addition to this, we stock all travel vaccines, even if they are more unusual (like the vaccine for Japanese Encephalitis, for example). We can also prescribe anti-malarial tablets.
