Tadalafil side effects
Less than 2% of men get side effects from Tadalafil. If you experience any side effects when taking Tadalafil, do not change your dose or stop taking the medication without speaking with your doctor first.
Some common side effects of Tadalafil include:
- Headaches
- Muscle pain
- Back pain
- Indigestion
- Flushing on your face
Some uncommon side effects of Tadalafil include:
- Feeling dizzy
- Stomach pain
- Fast heartbeat (palpitations)
- Changes in blood pressure
- Nausea and vomiting
- Prolonged painful erection
- Nose bleeds
- Tiredness
- Ringing in the ears
- Eye pain
- Blurred vision
- Difficulty breathing
Some rare side effects of Tadalafil are:
- Fainting
- Seizure
- Temporary memory loss
- Sweating
- Swollen eyelids
- Hives on the skin
- Loss of hearing
- Blood in semen
If you experience any of the following severe side effects, stop taking Tadalafil and seek medical help immediately:
- Allergic reactions like wheezing, chest tightening, rashes, swelling of the eyes and face
- Sudden loss of vision
- Seizures
- A prolonged painful erection (a condition known as priapism)
Tadalafil and other medications
Some medications may interact with Tadalafil and cause dangerous side effects, and some may affect how well Tadalafil works. You should tell your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicines:
- Alpha blockers like tamsulosin, alfuzosin or doxazosin (used to treat prostate enlargement and high blood pressure)
- Blood pressure medicines
- Nitrate medicines (used to treat angina, including GTN spray or tablets)
- Antipsychotic medicines like phenytoin
- Antibiotics such as rifampicin, erythromycin
- Medicines for treating HIV or AIDS
- Medicines for treating fungal infections
- Other ED pills like Viagra
