Which foods are best avoided?
Try not to stock lots of unhealthy foods in your home. Having healthy snacks around you will make it easier to avoid temptation.Try to avoid:
- fizzy drinks
- or any foods that are high in saturated fat
However, you shouldn’t ban any foods from your diet entirely, especially if you really like them. Banning foods will only make you crave them more. There’s no reason you can’t have a bar of chocolate as a treat every once in awhile, as long as you stick within your daily calorie allowance.
Don’t skip meals - Studies show that eating breakfast, lunch and dinner regularly helps control your weight. Missing meals mean that you’re missing out on important nutrients and that you’re much more likely to snack during the day.
